Tommorow starts the opening round for the TPC at Sawgrass.

Last year’s winner, Adam Scott, will try and make it a back to back win. Vijay, the #1 player in the world, is vying to keep that spot with Tiger Woods and Ernie Els on his heels.

Woods could regain the top spot Singh seized at Bay Hill with a top-seven finish, provided Singh doesn’t place higher. Should both place lower than seventh, Woods must beat Singh to have a shot. Els needs a victory provided Woods and Singh finish outside the top three. The numerous scenarios are evidence of how the game has been elevated.

I have said it before, this 2005 season is going to be hotttttttttttt….

It will be exciting seeing these moves into #1, #2, and #3 possibly getting exchanged all throughout the season, unless one of the players has a blowout year.

Tiger Woods is obviously one of the prospects to do this given his already hot start in 2005, but also the issues concerning his swing followed up by his dominance in 2001. Tiger came out and said earlier this year that his swing ‘clicked’. Well, he said that before 2001 also, so we might be looking at a hot year for Tiger.

Hopefully the weather cooperates this weekend, as the last few tournaments have been pretty wet.
