What is the best course you have played?
Simply put, what is the best golf course you have ever played?
Was it a world renowned famous course? Was it your local municipal course down the road?
For me, I have had the chance to play several great golf courses.
I have had the chance to play Pinehurst #2 and the Ocean Course at Kiawah Island Golf Resort.
Both were fun courses. Pinehurst #2 was played in 38 degree weather, whereas the Ocean Course was played during the summer. I must say, the Ocean course is one hell of a walk. I think the distance between the 9th green and the 10th tee is like 1/4 of a mile or something.
In terms of fame, I would have to say Pinehurst #2 for myself because of its recognition.
How about you?

I have been fortunate to play many great golf courses, too many to just pick one. My
favorites in no particular order are:
The Old Course, Murfield (Scotland),
Turnberry Scotland, Troon (Scotland),
Royal Dornoch (Scotland), Nairn (Scotland)
Carnoustie,Pebble Beach, The Ocean Course at Kiawah, Spyglass Hill, Doral CC,
Bay Hill, Sawgrass,Kingsbarn (Scotland) and
many more really good golf courses.

Wow Bill, those are some nice courses.
My father has played Sawgrass. The closest I have been is 4 feet from the TV.
I know the Ball State Golf Team takes a trip to Scotland every few years.
Do you favor the old courses (Scotland, Europe) or the courses in the US?

Yeah, those are some top notch courses there Bill! I would have to say for me it’s the Davis Love course at Barefoot Landing in Myrtle Beach. It was just in pristine shape when I played it!

Well I haven’t had a chance to play that many world class golf courses but I have played Pinehurst #2 and it is unbelievable. Talk about a challenge of your golf game. If you need one this is the place for you. But hopefully this next weekend my golf instructor and I are planning to go to Mobile, Alabama to play at The Judge. It will probably be the hardest golf course that I will ever play considering it is about 7,600 yards. And is covered by swamps and growed up rough. But hopefully we can make that trip so I can tell about it.

Hey Josh, if you can take pictures, that would be awesome. Then email them to me so I can post them on the site.
