Jack decides to play at the Masters
Jack Nicklaus has decided to play in this years Masters tournament. Following the loss of his grandson Jake, it was uncertain if Jack would play this year.
Jack said the reason he had made the decision to play was based mainly on his son Steve Nicklaus (Jake’s father) pushing him to play. At the age of 65 all that Nicklaus can hope for in this masters is to make the cut line, which at his age and the time off for the death of his grandson, it would be a remarkable achievement. In an interview after his practice round Tuesday Nicklaus stated “I think I can make the cut if I play halfway decent, will I make the cut? Probably not. But do I think I should make it? Yeah.” This will likely be Nicklaus’ last Masters tournament and I know I’ll be pulling for him to make the cut and who knows……win? Crazier things have happened.

I can’t even begin to imagine the crowds that will be following Jack. Given his particular circumstances, he will have SO much support.
If he makes the cut, it will be huge. If he can get into contention, you can bank on it that there will be an electric charge throughout the entire grounds that would be deafening.
Chances are, he won’t win or even come close, but it would be SO cool if he did.

I am excited about this. I would definately like to see him go out winning his final masters. Should make an interesting week.
