The most inconsistent player I know…
Alright, its me! I am the most inconsistent player I know! For example, I played 18 holes today at The Bull in Richmond, KY. I shot a 79, which isn’t great, but also isn’t bad. The only thing about this and the title of this post is consistency…I HAVE NONE! 79…with that said, here is how my round went:
- 7 pars
- 6 bogeys
- 2 double bogeys
- 3 birdies
Now with that said…let me give you some figures to let you know how my round could have went…notice I said could have and I know we all have those “could have” days, but I just need to get it out, its bugging me!
In this round of 79 and all the bogeys and what not, I not only sh***ed the ball three times, but I had three 3 jacks (putts), and one 4 putt (that was great!), and one lost ball. So looking at that, if I could have just cut down a little…not even a lot, just a little on the stupid mental inconsistent mistakes I made, my round would have been near even par.
It really just gets on my nerves!
Anyone else had a round like this?

*uh, raises hand like a dumbass*
I went from shooting a 76 (+5) on saturday which included me being 6 over par after 4 holes (played my next 14 at 1 under par) to shooting roughly an 87 on sunday.
What causes this 87 you ask. Oh, nothing really, just the fact that I couldn’t hit my ass with both hands.
I literally couldn’t hit the ball on even a remote line that is called ’straight’.
I was jacking drives 90 yards right over houses, pulling drives 40 yards off line. It was sick. I think I knocked 5 balls out of bounds.
So, right now, I am quite inconsistent myself

I feel your pain man…only not with the driver aspect. The driver right now is the best club in my bag and I think that is mainly a direct result of how much confidence I have it it. I know most ever time I tee it up that I’m going to blast it right down the center and I truly believe in myself to do it and I do it! With the other clubs in my bag its different…I’m thinking don’t do this, or do that, or what if this happens…the list goes on….would you like me to keep going? Nah, I didn’t think so! lol. For example my sha**ed shots today with the SW. The SW is the only club I do this with and I don’t even know why…confidence? Maybe (probably), technique? Maybe but I doubt it, the simple fact that once you do this once its in your head for life and it NEVER LEAVES…most certainly and its all I think about when I have a SW out.
Ohh well…I just need to practice!

Eh, Deron.
You ever thought of donating your services as a web designer to redesign that Bull Website

You know, that has crossed my mind a TON of times. Its crossed my mind to even start a somewhat web design business type deal on the side just designing/redesigning golf course websites. The sites I’ve seen for the courses here in KY are just HORRIBLE!

I often have those rounds. I can play the front two over, then turn into Jeckyll on the back.
I agree that your site looks really nice. Excellent work!
