Final Round PGA | Club Championship gone awry
I did not get to watch the 3rd round of the PGA Championship as I had my own championship going on, my local Club Championship.
First off, Tiger is 11-0 when entering the final round either with or tied for the lead. Tiger and Luke Donald share the lead at 14 under.
I am going to go with the obvious choice here and say Tiger Woods wins the 88th PGA Championship with a final score of 19 under.
Club Championship
So today I had to play 36 holes in the first day of my local Club Championship. I got lucky and won it back in 2003, but haven’t done better then 2nd in the last couple years. None of my rounds have been steller, but tack on a new baby, new job, and other responsibilities, and you can understand why it becomes harder and harder to compete at a strong level. This year especially given the fact that I have hit golf balls 1 time since June, and that was off mats at a night range.
So I sit with 2 rounds of 82 (11 over each, ouch). I am pretty much out of the tournament. Unless I fire a steller 62 (that isn’t going to happen), I won’t win. I am already 12 shots out of the lead.
Here are my predictions:
PGA Championship: Tiger Woods (-19)
Club Championship: Not Me, but final round 69
