The Masters
Runner-up: Ray Floyd
Nick Faldo won back-to-back Masters titles, defeating Ray Floyd in a sudden-death playoff. Floyd, at 47, was attempting to become the oldest Masters champion. Faldo birdied the second playoff hole (11th) when Floyd found the water with his approach. Faldo became the first back-to-back Masters winner since Nicklaus in 1965-66.
