Tiger Woods, at age 21, won the Masters by 12 shots with a record-setting score of 270 (-18), becoming the youngest ever Masters champion. After a front-nine 40 in round one, Woods shot 30 on the back nine and never looked back. His 12-shot margin and 270 total were both Masters records, and he became the first player of Black heritage to win the tournament.
