The Open Championship
Runner-up: Sandy Herd
George Duncan won the first Open Championship after World War I. Duncan trailed by 13 shots after two rounds but shot 71-72 in the final two rounds to win. Sandy Herd, who had led comfortably, collapsed. It remains one of the most dramatic comebacks in Open history.
