Cameron Smith won the 150th Open Championship at St Andrews with a remarkable final round 64, shooting nine birdies to overhaul Rory McIlroy who had led by two with a round to play. Smith's charge began on the back nine and he birdied five of the last six holes. McIlroy's near-miss was another heartbreak at The Open.
