Brooks Koepka became the first back-to-back US Open champion since Curtis Strange in 1988-89. In brutal conditions at Shinnecock Hills, Koepka was the only player to break par for the week. Tommy Fleetwood shot a stunning final round 63 to finish runner-up. Koepka's back-to-back wins confirmed him as the dominant player in US Open history.
