Brooks Koepka became the first player to win consecutive PGA Championships since Denny Shute in 1936-37. Koepka's nerves of steel on the back nine held off Dustin Johnson by two shots on the demanding Bethpage Black course. His back-to-back PGAs were a remarkable achievement in an era of extreme parity.
